赫德維格和亨利克是一對嬌生慣養的孩子，平時他們想要什么都能得到。直到鎮上來了一位新治安官維多利亞，她同時成為了他們的繼母。赫德維格和亨利克幾乎無法再得到父親的關注，同時還要屈服于維多利亞的新規則。他們都知道一件事：維多利亞必須離開。一天，亨利克在看漫畫時想出了一個絕妙的計劃——他們要雇一個殺手！但他們怎么才能找到殺手呢？他們又該如何籌錢呢？在奶奶的幫助下，這群懵懂無知的孩子全心全意地配合著她的計劃，上演了一場與其說是冷血殺人，不如說是搞笑惡作劇的鬧劇。誰能想到，雇傭殺手也可以如此有趣，而且感人至深。
